Three hits

We were in East Coast last night looking for an acupuncture/chinese clinic to have my right arm checked, i think its a bit swollen and the pain is bugging me since last Wednesday. Unfortunately. we didn’t find one, so we just settled with reflexology massage at Roxy Square for 30mins and look somewhere else to eat dinner.

And here's what we stumbled upon.

Awfully Chocolate. just reading this gives me sugar rush.

Apparently, the place consists of three eateries when you get inside.
Awfully Chocolate for desserts.
  JooJoo (japanese resto)
and Mooshi bakes (pastries and bake shop).

And here's what we had:

Chicken thigh with tare/miso - just a regular chicken barbeque.
Pork belly with quail eggs and miso
- you can barely see and taste the pork belly that's wrapped on the quail egg. tsss.

Lamb rack
-the meat is tender and succulent. cooked for a couple of hours..
i can tell. this I like.

Cold honey lime ocha (tea) -
average and ordinary tea for $3.90. expensive.

Rice with Cha-siu(pork) and egg.
-flavorful mixed rice topped with tenderloin and egg and seaweed on the side. You can eat this alone without the dishes since its very tasty. But the serving is so small and it’s a bit expensive for $3.90.

It took me sometime to pick the perfect dessert. All of them looks so delighful and heavenly..
But this is what they recommend if youre looking for over-the-top sweetness..

Boo. the white chocolate wasn’t sweet at all and the butter-based frosting is just too much.
Really disappointing. Horrible.

So-so as they say, I was not really pleased with JooJoo and definitely not with that awful chocolate…
but I was all stuffed. Diet postponed. 

Sweet teeth

No, not tooth, its teeth. I have a sweet teeth, that’s the only way I can express
or should I say overstress my love for sweets. I can pass up lunch and dinner, with a slice of chocolate cake, or a cup full of ice cream, or a bar of milk chocolate or maybe a creampuff or a crepe or a donut…
and the list goes on and on and on. That explains why I’m not thin.

We had dinner at Everything Sweets in Bugis Junction last night.
It’s an eat-all-you-can Japanese buffet serving not just Japanese sweets but Japanese dishes as well.
With a reasonable price of $15.80 for lunch and $18.80 for dinner during weekdays,
this restaurant never runs out of queue. The line is always lengthy and it would take you probably half an hour (minimum) for waiting time.

I forgot to take pictures of the food coz im too excited and too hungry to remember.
These are the only shots I have.. the after-dinner shots. 

Customers are given 80mins for the buffet. I think 80mins is a bit of a time pressure. Although, we never felt rushed, the time wouldn’t be enough to delight in each and every item on the menu.(FYI: There are 30-over desserts available. J)

Anyhow, im giving Lets Sweet a thumbs up for their oh-so-sweet and scrumptious buffet. Thanks for satisfying my daily dose of sweets, I know it’s gonna go straight down to my waist but who cares? Im hyper.

P.S. I will start dieting tomorrow. I promise on a chunky slice of blueberry cheesecake.

FIRST POST JITTERS

Im a big fan of blogs.
Fashion-blog.lifestyle blog. personal blog. dream blog.
anything-under-the-sun-blog.
A blurker indeed.
When i read blogs, it feels like we have something similar to share, may it be the same aspirations,
same sentiments or even just the same heartbeat for that dress.
There’s justsomething on these blogs that makes me feel real
as a person knowing thatim not alone with all my
grumblings or realizations about life.

I have been dying to start a blog ages ago, but the only
thing that’s stopping me from doing so is writing the first post.
I have succumbed to my excuses ofnot having time,
being too busy and just contented with discreetly admiring other blogs..
I felt that my first post should be something grand and
impressive and extraordinary.

But because of my bitchy but oh so adorable friend,
who lured me orshould is say ‘black-mail-ed’ me to
start this blog.. (blog links please)

And a bit of thoughts leading me to convince myself that
a grand firstpost is not necessary to start a blog as long
you pour down your ideas on the
what-abouts of your life...

I am now officially switching my habit,
from blurking to blogging. :)
